The First Nike Air Force One

If you dont know about where Nike Air Force Ones come from by the end of this blog you will.Back in 1982 the first Nike Air Force One was released and were sold in Baltimore,USA at a shop by the name of Cinderella Shoes that was owned by Paul Blinkman. The sold pretty well, because many people liked the soles and the look of the shoe in general. The first pairs of Nike Air Force Ones releases were Hi-Tops with a strap on the back && were in basic two tone colorways. Then eventually progressed to Mid-Top and Low-Top slowly.Back in 1982 if you were wearing Air Force Ones you were popular, because a small amount was manufactured and distributed.Like all shoes before the Air Forces Ones had a so called "run" they would come out for a small amount of time and go away.Kids in Baltimore were asking for the Air Force One even after the shoe had been taken off the market && so 3 retailers known as "The 3 Amigos" picked up on the demand && had meetings with Nike to bring back this classic basketball shoe.Back then the major shoe sellers were "Charlie Rudo Sports,Downtown Locker Room,&& Cinderella Shoes" as we do today with "Footaction,Champs,Footlocker,Finishline,ETC."  The Original resurecters of the shoe were Paul Blinkman & Harold Rudo. Nike && other companys thought they were crazy, better yet the thought they were insane, but as wanted they brought back the much anticipated shoe. The dealers were forced to take 1,200 pair of each color ((white/royal blue && white/chocolate brown))  Immediately the sold out as planned. Nike also started a program where there would be a different color shoe released each month. Kids were comming in buying shoes like crazy and also inputed colors they would like to see come out in the future as this demand sky rocketed......so did the variety of this shoe.People from Philadelphia & New York found out what they were doing and rushed to buy the shoe in large quantities.Back in the day the shoe was not a casual shoe. They were mostly worn in the basketball communities that surrounded in New York.As the years passed and people bought more and more shoes, the talk expanded about this beautiful sneaker and the comfort it had.Harlem was basically an endorsement, because most people and famous basketball players wore them in multiple colors or as they used to call them "Fruit Flavors" The were nicknamed "Harlems,Uptowns,Air's" && my favorite and original nickname "Nike Airs",but now day there just called "Forces,Force 1's,G-Nikes,ETC" There are over 17,000 Nike Air Force Ones in different styles and variations.Hip-Hop magnified the Air Force One culture & Harlem & The Streets! This shoe was worn in many tournaments and many people learned to love and adapt to this shoe as we do today, because of how they look so nice with an outfit and by itself. Its a classic Nike, but also a classic shoe in general thats why all around the world they are so well respected.Sighh......this is the end time to wrap it up.I just felt like I needed to tell you about this beautiful shoe and where it came from,so next time you go to buy a pair, you'll know where they came from and the history of the shoe.Once again if you have any questions, comments,or concerns hit me up on here, facebook, twitter,or my e-mail.ONE LOVE!
