Nike Dunks History( :

This blog is about the histroy of Nike Dunks && Nike Dunks SB.In 1985 the first Nike Dunks were available to purchase, this is WAY before the Nike Air Jordan 1 was released,so that yes that means the first Retro 1's were modeled after them and also YES they were also released in 1985.They were made in alot of different colorways & or varieties.Nike Dunks first became popular during the 1985 NCAA basketball tournaments when teams like Michigan,Syracuse,Maryland,UNLV,&& Arizona.Finding a color scheme to match your outfit && team colors werent a problem just like now days. Also during the initiate release the shoe came with 2 non-identical sets of laces. Also like i said on the other Nike Air Force One's blog the shoe was removed from the market & brought back in 1998 with way more colors, collaborations, regional release and more.So yes this shoe was also originally a basketball shoe before it was changed into the Nike Dunk SB which stands for skateboarding && alters to the shoe have been made, with changes like the new and improved stuffed tongue for comfort of the foot on the low-tops,but the Dunk SB is more stable to and comfortable to the human foot.Rules used to be that you had to be skateboarding for at least 2 years before Nike SB would sign a contract with you, obviously we see now thats totally different cause alot of places sale them, plus cost you around 50,000 to sell in your store. The most famous Nike Dunks are the "EBay Version"It was inspired by the EBay logo & was tooken pictures of and put on EBay to sell.Little did they know that people would love them...they sold for $30,000 to an anonymous buyer and only made in his/her size. The original pair was cut up into 4 pieces and put on display.Alot of people are in LOVE with Dunks so they will do anything to get there hands on a pair of them...like in 2005 a pair of  Nike SB Pigeon's were released & only about 20 were sold out of the 200 made. For this event about 100 came and camped out for this shoe & were mad when they found out there werent enough of them.Riots broke out && came in full force. The shoe went for about $200-300 now they go for around $1,200 sighh.Once again im here to update you,so you can be informed and keep you fit game fresh. If you have any comments, concerns,or questions hit me up on facebook, twitter, here,or my e-mail.ONE LOVE

The First Nike Air Force One

If you dont know about where Nike Air Force Ones come from by the end of this blog you will.Back in 1982 the first Nike Air Force One was released and were sold in Baltimore,USA at a shop by the name of Cinderella Shoes that was owned by Paul Blinkman. The sold pretty well, because many people liked the soles and the look of the shoe in general. The first pairs of Nike Air Force Ones releases were Hi-Tops with a strap on the back && were in basic two tone colorways. Then eventually progressed to Mid-Top and Low-Top slowly.Back in 1982 if you were wearing Air Force Ones you were popular, because a small amount was manufactured and distributed.Like all shoes before the Air Forces Ones had a so called "run" they would come out for a small amount of time and go away.Kids in Baltimore were asking for the Air Force One even after the shoe had been taken off the market && so 3 retailers known as "The 3 Amigos" picked up on the demand && had meetings with Nike to bring back this classic basketball shoe.Back then the major shoe sellers were "Charlie Rudo Sports,Downtown Locker Room,&& Cinderella Shoes" as we do today with "Footaction,Champs,Footlocker,Finishline,ETC."  The Original resurecters of the shoe were Paul Blinkman & Harold Rudo. Nike && other companys thought they were crazy, better yet the thought they were insane, but as wanted they brought back the much anticipated shoe. The dealers were forced to take 1,200 pair of each color ((white/royal blue && white/chocolate brown))  Immediately the sold out as planned. Nike also started a program where there would be a different color shoe released each month. Kids were comming in buying shoes like crazy and also inputed colors they would like to see come out in the future as this demand sky rocketed......so did the variety of this shoe.People from Philadelphia & New York found out what they were doing and rushed to buy the shoe in large quantities.Back in the day the shoe was not a casual shoe. They were mostly worn in the basketball communities that surrounded in New York.As the years passed and people bought more and more shoes, the talk expanded about this beautiful sneaker and the comfort it had.Harlem was basically an endorsement, because most people and famous basketball players wore them in multiple colors or as they used to call them "Fruit Flavors" The were nicknamed "Harlems,Uptowns,Air's" && my favorite and original nickname "Nike Airs",but now day there just called "Forces,Force 1's,G-Nikes,ETC" There are over 17,000 Nike Air Force Ones in different styles and variations.Hip-Hop magnified the Air Force One culture & Harlem & The Streets! This shoe was worn in many tournaments and many people learned to love and adapt to this shoe as we do today, because of how they look so nice with an outfit and by itself. Its a classic Nike, but also a classic shoe in general thats why all around the world they are so well respected.Sighh......this is the end time to wrap it up.I just felt like I needed to tell you about this beautiful shoe and where it came from,so next time you go to buy a pair, you'll know where they came from and the history of the shoe.Once again if you have any questions, comments,or concerns hit me up on here, facebook, twitter,or my e-mail.ONE LOVE!

Air Jordan Retro 2's University Blue/Black/White

Okay so the new University Blue/Black/White Air Retro Jordan 2's were released July 31,2010.I have not bought a pair, but I did make my way up to the store to examine the shoe. They looked okay to me the color was pretty smooth and darker in person than on the internet or on any picture you might have seen. If you dont know about the Air Jordan 2's they were first released in November of 1986& 1987 & retailed at about $105 and were made in Italy with smooth genuine Italian leather && the midsole was made of rubber and cracked easily ((obviously this has been fixed))! Now days the ORIGINAL Air Jordan 2's in good condition are VERY hard to find because of midsole problems.Original Air Jordan 2's were produced FIRST in the color scheme of white && red with a partial grey sole. Now the 2010 Air Jordan 2's have been released in multiple colors like white && silver, white/red/black,and now university blue/black/white and cost around $135 depending on sales and things like that.If you have anymore questions, comments,or concerns hit me up on Facebook,Twitter,or my E-mail! Air Jordan Original 9's Vs. Air Jordan Retro 9's Black-White-& True Red

Now there has been alot of controversy about the colorway of the Air Jordan Retro 9's being released August 7,2010 in stores near you.I say this because people say that the retro 9's that will be coming out soon are the ((originals)) Im here to tell you that they are not.The AUTHENTIC ((Original)) 9's that were released in November of 1993 had a holographic glow/sparkle to the black striped that lined the side of the shoe && would have cost you around $125 back then, but now they would run $300 plus. Now even then when they were released again on January 12th in 2002 the holographic glow had been altered/removed.Now the ((retro)) 2010 pair will be the same as the pair released in 2002 at a retail price of around $150.If you notice they will cost $25 more than they did in 1993 & 2002 of course beacause of demand and the economy! So if anyone else tells you different tell them that I told you this && if they would like to check me hit me up on Facebook,Twitter,My E-Mail ETC. Please be careful of whats real and whats not, dont buy something and get stuck looking like a fool( : STAY FRESH 2 DEF. ONE LOVE!
